ShortestWait publishes statistics. You can use it without an account, and it does not use tracking or advertising cookies.

What we collect

Server logs. Like most websites, our web server records each request: the page, the time, your IP address and your browser's description of itself. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure, and keep them only as long as that needs.
Postcode search. When you search by postcode we keep only the first half, the postcode district (for example OX3), and discard the rest straight away. We look up the district's location with postcodes.io, and the district appears in the results page address. We never store your full postcode.
Email. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply.

We do not sell or share personal data. The waiting-time figures are about hospitals, not individual patients.

You can ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email privacy@shortestwait.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

If we add features that collect more information, such as enquiry forms or email alerts, we will update this page before they go live.
